Aaaw come on guys, do you want to tell me you'll be playing this because you like a high quality, superbly playable, perfect over the top game??? Then you might want to buy crysis 2 or something. Duke3d always tried (and achieved) to be not so serious, with all the girls and stuff you've never seen in wolfenstein, doom, later quake, anything. in this game you didn't have to rescue a princess, you had to rescue hotties! Sometimes you had to kill a few too.
I mean if people wanted to drive a perfectly modern car with stunning features in countries you are allowed to do 70 max, why do some still buy lambos and ferraris instead of mercedes limousines? It's for the spectacle :-)

I did my service not in the military but in some youth centre... waking up at 13:00, going to work meant going to play table soccer and pool with the guys there, getting home at 7 and go out with friends.... good times!

Just for this massively useless thread I've thought of getting a new signature. For those who don't know, I've borrowed the line from one of the first great authors of horror literature, Mr. Lovecraft.
I haven't played anything for a looong time now, still I was at the karting weekend at Jason's (thanks again, will we have another one in 2011?) and I've saved up some money for the new wheel I so desperately need.
Apart from that, with all hopes for a patch release this year gone I've concentrated on buildung some very very nice 1/24th scale slotcar models.
My son is doing fine, he will be driving S3 once it gets released.
BTW Tor, how's the weather in Norway? We've got so much snow our cats don't dare going outside :-)

[fill in RL racing team name here] are not winning because they chose one winner car and let the other crash the nearest opponents, do they?
Take any car and troy will wipe the floor with you, using h-shifter and a proper clutch :-) Just a funny side note, true but not really serious.
Different opinion here. See the tour de France - is doping legal (and in this case "creative") if it can't be proven? 100% of the top riders are able to do things no human could do without massive abuse of certain substances which may kill some of the guys.

I can't even drive the lx4, I take the lx6 for a ride every year because it has the best sounding engine by far (in lfs) and I would shreddddd the lx8's tyres to bits in 1 or 2 carefully driven corners.

1st: In germany you wouldn't pass MOT (TÜV) with a crack in the screen. IDK about GB but the windscreen is an important part of the car, so I assume you (more your car) won't pass.
2nd: THere are methods to repair punctual chips in the screen, but a crack cannot be repaired, no matter how big.
EDIT: seems very small cracks can nowadays be repaired as well! not 8 inches though I'm afraid..
3rd: Since the screen is made of security glass it might just break even more and fall into millions of pieces at 75 miles during the night in heavy rain.... you get the picture :-) I never saw something like this happen, but it CAN.
Edit: I have seen it... a friend had a very small chip in the rear window of his polo. He was driving along as suddenly he heard a noise and had a hole the size of a fist in the window. Rest was crackling apart.
Depending on the car model you might get a new windscreen from the same car from some scrapyard, then take it to a garage and have it replaced.

Well, they should have done their jobs right then. W7 is as unusable as every other bloody microsoft OS, if you're coming from the last version. You may have a point saying that we've had vista to get used to the new style, but I'll answer that you had ME to get away from 98... both (vista and millenium edition) were absolutely useless.
For me W7 will come for sure, but I'd be happy to have some control over my system until then.

First of all please stop saying "the cristians" "the muslims or "the americans", most of the members of each group might still be great lads despite small groups doing stupid things.
1: @Mike: just a few years after 3000 people died in the towers the American government has sent out troops to murder some 80000 to 650000 people (numbers may vary depending on who stated them, W.H.O. claims 150000). Whenever one American is slapped in the face, 10000000 Americans have to kill the whole country the guy came from. This is of course much exaggerated, but has a true core.
2: The musqe would have been build NEAR ground zero. Noone will be dancing around on the ruins with a turban.
Religion itself is not dangerous, I do believe in SOMETHING that knows the formula, something that could be the beginning of all. Of course this might come from my strong christian roots and education, everyone thinks different on that topic and this variety is what could make us strong.
I hate the stupid channeling of religion into a "don't think, believe!" state which produces nothing but intolerance and kills creative minds.

Personally I'd like to keep my slow dual core 2333MHz Rig with the crummy 4850, two lousy gigs of RAM and the single silent fan a bit longer, so no million poly cars for me, thanks.
I always wonder why so many people (demo or not) cry for new content but don't do anything themselves. There has been a development pause of two years for us normal customers, why have only a few people started modding lfs, and none of them has done it properly?
Why not simply make a proper model and give it to the mighty ones, hoping that they'll simply put it in the game?
